You Are a Work of Art
Art is a creative reflection of passion and individuality. Sarah Kaplan left her job at the National Gallery of Art inspired to start VUE by SEK for one simple reason: to take art out of the museum and reinvent it to be an everyday personal expression. Our collections are made up of handcrafted, mindfully designed pieces with meaning and intention. Here’s what you can expect from each of our unforgettable designs:
Uniquely expressive collections
Each earring and necklace in our collection is designed by Sarah herself. Her designs take inspiration from modern art, hundreds of years of goldsmithing tradition and techniques, and even her own family heirlooms. Each piece is free of nickel and has slight variations, ensuring no two pieces are exactly the same. They represent every wearer’s unique personal view and confident ability to stand out. (So be ready for people to ask you where you got that really cool new jewelry.)
We are not about fast fashion and disposable trends. Instead, our pieces reflect a serious commitment to craftsmanship and quality. From the first sketch to final completion, our pieces take years to create. Sarah designs each piece in her Charlotte, NC studio and hand places each stone in the collection. We partner with a foundry in Rhode Island, a place considered the birthplace of American jewelry craft, to mold the custom shapes of our metal components. With their longstanding tradition of quality craftsmanship, we create small batches of beautiful, US-made pieces with minimal footprint.
At VUE by SEK, we carefully source all of our quality metals, distinctive stones, packaging elements, and all our vendor partners to ensure the integrity of everything we make. Our jewelry packaging and shipping materials are made with biodegradable, eco-friendly cardboard and compostable materials. Our jewelry assembly is meticulously done by hand, ensuring no materials go to waste.
Now that you know about us, it’s time to adorn yourself with a piece of art that’s worthy of you. Browse our latest collection here. If you want some suggestions, click here are some of the pieces the writers at Real Simple, Seventeen, and Forbes loved most.
We’re delighted you stopped by, and thanks for continuing to inspire us.
